Rubio calls swap 'potential recipe for disaster'

House Speaker Marco Rubio says he has always viewed the revenue cap and tax swap as working in concert. But now that the cap has been killed by the Taxation and Budget Reform Commission, Rubio says the swap is "a potential recipe for disaster."

Does it really make a difference?? My preference is to eliminate the state from our lives altogether. That's why I would favor a tax swap, but only if 100% of the educational recoupment is spelled out in detail and included in any amendment. He says do it now and we'll worry about the recoupment later. If anyone believes that, I have a bridge. Are the savings going to education or to the special interest right wing of Christianity?? Does anyone want his or her tax money used to support an institution that tolerated/tolerates pedophilia? Where have all the pedophiles gone?? How about the mom and pop waterfront commercial properties? Another special interest exemption just so Lee County's tax assessor, Ken Wilkinson, can get more face time in the New-Press. Elections are coming.

What does Rubio mean by disaster? Another vague opinion with little in fact to support the ability of avoiding the perceived iceberg straight ahead. He really doesn't have the foggiest clue which way is north. That's why we need him and the state out of our hair. He'll just make our lives more miserable.
